This two-day course will provide attending teachers with a practical overview of how this powerful industry standard CAD/CAM software can be used effectively with your Year 7 to 13 Design & Technology students to improve motivation and achievement. The Creo Parametric (formally ProENGINEER) package is radically different and offers many new modelling features over its predecessor Pro/DESKTOP Version 8.

AS/A2 Level Design & Technology: Raising Student Engagement in Coursework and Enhancing Individual Project Development

Design & Technology
This one day course will enable delegates to develop and enhance teaching strategies that clarify and resolve issues such as a lack of student self-confidence and engagement in coursework projects in AS and A2 level Design and Technology programmes.

Pro/DESKTOP Version 8 with DATA Accreditation

Design & Technology
This course is aimed at teachers who wish to use PTC Pro/DESKTOP computer aided design software in the classroom and gain accreditation from DATA for its use in their schools. This one day workshop will be followed by an assignment which will be completed within 6 weeks of the course for all staff who wish to gain accreditation. Successful candidates will qualify for a free site license for the PTC Pro/DESKTOP software.

Risk Assessments and Health & Safety in Design & Technology

The course will provide a coherent framework to help with understanding of the national standards BS4163:2007 and new gas regulations for education and other publications, and prepares you to compile Risk Assessments for your lessons within your curriculum set up.
