Edward is a former headteacher with 25 years’ teaching experience. He has since specialised in all aspects of school leadership, change and conflict management as an independent consultant leading courses and consultancy on team building, middle leadership, change management, difficult conversations and coaching; all clearly focused on improving school effectiveness. Edward’s books ‘Tackling Underperformance’ and ‘Successful Middle Leadership’ were published in 2012 and 2013.
In 2014 he sailed over 26,000nm in the Clipper Round the World yacht race and had the chance to experience the comparisons between ocean yacht racing leadership and school leadership.
