We live in a fast moving age in the 21st century. Traditional notions of Art and Design evolve and change to reflect this...but, in some secondary schools the art curriculum is rooted in the past and is not delivering teaching and learning experiences and content relevant to the teenager of today.

Changes to the national curriculum and to GCSE courses and the 14 to 19 curriculum, will lead to an entitlement for students to have a wider curriculum experience. This course is for those teachers who want to move forward and look at ways that we can engage with contemporary practice in the classroom.
