Many teachers, finding themselves teaching A level Physics for the first time, worry about the practical as well as the more unfamiliar theoretical aspects of the courses, especially if they are not Physics specialists. This course will provide experience of common experiments and demonstrations as well as the theory behind those experiments and concentrates on topics that many teachers find particularly difficult to convey to their students.
The course covers common topics across all Examination Boards. Throughout the course there will be reference to the necessary mathematical and graphical skills. There will also be time over lunch and coffee to meet other teachers and to discuss common problems. Finally there will be material to take away that can be used in the classroom.
