This course will focus on narrowing the gender gap between ethnic minority boys and girls mathematical achievement. Whilst girls are often happy with knowledge-based activities, boys' learning is more focused on skill and understanding. This course will provide delegates practical advice on how to plan Outstanding Mathematics Lessons for ethnic minority boys in order to raise their mathematical achievement and attainment.

Delegates will value and appreciate the importance of single gender teaching in mathematics and gain confidence in teaching ethnic minority boys. Delegates will further learn about innovative assessment strategies and techniques to assess ethnic minority boys' learning in mathematics and by the end of the day be enthused to plan, teach and assess for boys' raised achievement in mathematics.
