As able pupils move from KS2 to KS3 they look forward to being taught by a maths specialist. Often at KS2 their needs will have been met by acceleration through content, resulting in pupils with a narrow view of maths and an over reliance on learnt methods - rather than a thorough understanding and an ability to apply their knowledge. Delegates will participate in practical activities that can be used in a mixed ability classroom to enrich and extend able pupils - and raising attainment for all.
