The aims of Standard Grade courses at all levels are "most likely fulfilled by a course which is designed to encourage pupil participation...while exposition by the teacher and practice exercises by pupils will have a prominent place - these activities alone would not allow the aims to be achieved."
This course will provide teachers with a variety of 'high-tech' and 'low-tech' activity-based approaches to all areas of the curriculum that integrate different learning styles into schemes of work rather than regarding mathematics as a series of techniques to learn by rote.
As well as providing clear guidelines on how best to integrate interactive resources into Schemes of Work teachers will also receive a wealth of resources that will be of immediate use in the classroom.

Aims of the course are to:
  * Creating greater learner 'activity' in lessons that keeps them focussed on mathematics
  * Efficient classroom management of a wide variety of resources: paper/card based as well as electronic
  * Integrating appropriate use of technology such as Computers, Data Projectors, Interactive Whiteboards etc. into delivery of the curriculum
  * Appreciation of numerous, simple ways to help 'bring mathematics to life' so that learning is a more meaningful experience in all areas of the curriculum
