This two-day course will provide attending teachers with a practical overview of how this powerful industry standard CAD/CAM software can be used effectively with your Year 7 to 13 Design & Technology students to improve motivation and achievement. The Creo Parametric (formally ProENGINEER) package is radically different and offers many new modelling features over its predecessor Pro/DESKTOP Version 8. Parametric Technology Corporation have teamed up with the Design and Technology Association and the Digital D&T Programme to allow teachers and pupils to make full use of this innovative and exciting resource.

Successful completion of this PTC accredited training course will provide your school with a free ‘bulk’ user site licenses to use Creo Parametric with your students. Teachers that pass the course will also be permitted to loan copies of the software to pupils so that they can make use of Creo Parametric on their PCs at home.

Delegates will gain hands-on experience and insight into how Creo Parametric can be used to improve teaching and learning outcomes in D & T. Practical examples will be undertaken, analysed and discussed – together with the implications for the STEM Subjects, Schemes of Work and Lesson Planning.

This course requires that attendees have some CAD experience in a secondary school and are also proficient in file management and mouse skills. This course also requires all delegates to bring their own laptop (with three button mouse and appropriate mat). Software will be provided for installation and testing prior to the event.
