The aim of the course is to help teachers plan and prepare for the A2 course. (all examination Boards) We will explore how best to teach the A2 topics, ensuring practice in the 4 skills and using a very wide range of materials. Very practical resources will be offered and there will be opportunities for discussing effective strategies to engage students, across the ability range, as well as dealing with gifted linguists and students who are native French speakers, as appropriate to the delegates’ teaching circumstances.

A booklet of useful, practical materials will be provided and delegates are also invited to bring a USB key as there will be opportunities for sharing materials and useful resources during the course. Should the delegates prefer it, this course can also be delivered entirely in French. Teaching literature at A level will also be discussed if this is relevant to the majority of delegates. A questionnaire will also be sent to give teachers the opportunity to provide relevant information about their teaching circumstances to the course leader.
