In order to understand which factors contribute to Successful  Schools, in particular how the capacity for change can be  developed through effective leadership and management, its  necessary to have strategic planning, monitoring and  evaluation and the right culture and ethos in place. This  course explores how competencies can be developed through  Targeted Professional Development; and will examine the  importance of subject reviews in the monitoring and  evaluation cycle and how they can be used to identify  deficiencies.
  The way in which culture and ethos determines the 'brand  image' of the school and how this in turn plays a significant  part in determining aspirations and expectations of Pupils,  Staff, Parents and Community and ways of changing the  culture and ethos will also be investigated.
