In order to understand which factors contribute to Successful Schools, in particular how the capacity for change can be developed through effective leadership and management, its necessary to have strategic planning, monitoring and evaluation and the right culture and ethos in place. This course explores how competencies can be developed through Targeted Professional Development; and will examine the importance of subject reviews in the monitoring and evaluation cycle and how they can be used to identify deficiencies.
The way in which culture and ethos determines the 'brand image' of the school and how this in turn plays a significant part in determining aspirations and expectations of Pupils, Staff, Parents and Community and ways of changing the culture and ethos will also be investigated.
