This course is designed for those new to equality and diversity or those seeking to update their existing understanding of the area. Equality and diversity is a limiting grade for schools and colleges, which can limit the overall institution grade during inspection.

This course will introduce delegates to the underpinning legal and inspection requirements of equality and diversity for schools and colleges, and consider ways to meet these requirements. It will adopt a very practical and accessible approach throughout the day, considering whole institution and department level implications of equality and diversity. There will be group exercises and several opportunities to ask questions and discuss or share approaches with other delegates.
