With 14-19 diplomas learners now having more options and choices, it is at this crucial time that schools will need to maintain traditional learning pathways yet be equipped to develop and manage new and more diverse vocational and industry led routes. Diplomas promote diversity and provide new opportunities through industry - with relevant applied and specialised learning now much more readily available. This course will offer you support and guidance in providing a climate for vocational learning and excellence. With the changes in legislation to extend the learning experience until 19, schools and colleges have had to re evaluate their provision to ensure they offer a learning environment in which achievement and success is available for all.
The aims of the course are to:
* Recognising the vocational learner - What constitutes a vocational learner in comparison to the traditional learner
* Give guidance in planning for the vocational learning lines and principal learning in 14-19 curriculum development
* Give guidance in providing vocational work experience
* Support in devising learning pathways to engage vocational learners and releasing their potential
