This course pulls together a number of National Imperatives - Personalised Learning, Assessment for Learning, ECM and the Inclusion Development Programme (IDP) into a coherent and deliverable strategy, using the Dyslexia Aware School as the vehicle for whole school improvement. Because the focus is on meeting needs through Quality First teaching and reasonable adjustments, Dyslexia will be presented as a specific learning difference and linked to Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN), supporting delegates with ideas and techniques to take back to school to organise in house training based on the Inclusion Development Programme. Whole class strategies to include dyslexic learners via differentiation and the use of alternative evidence will be modelled together with practical monitoring and tracking techniques based on provision mapping.

Aims of the course are to:
  * Enhance whole school achievement and attainment through a focus on the Dyslexia Aware School
  * Pull together a range of National Imperatives into a coherent strategy to improve the inclusion of vulnerable learners
  * Equip delegates to organise school-based training on the Inclusion Development Programme
