The course covers all the essential areas that an LSA needs to know to be more effective and develop professional capabilities. The course draws on the day-to-day practices of LSAs working with young people in schools. Theoretical concepts are explored as the basis of developing learning support and teaching/learning skills.

The course also explores issues such as behaviour management strategies. There is wide opportunity to gain some useful insights into how you can be more successful and effective in your work as an LSA. The day will provide practical activities for individual development and hopefully feel more confident and clear about your position and role as an LSA and about your ability to increase your skills and knowledge.
