Participants will be able to consider a variety of  approaches to implementing citizenship  learning opportunities in the Post 16 sectors.
  
  They will be able to understand how to use the  greater flexibility afforded in non-statutory  citizenship learning to strengthen learner voice,  and to enable learners to establish focus on  issues of concern to them.
  
  A range of active learning strategies will be  explored/reinforced, as will techniques to  tackle the controversial nature of citizenship  issues. Evaluation and assessment of learning  strategies will also be highlighted.
