Despite the successes of Art and Design as a curriculum subject there is a real concern with the underachievement of boys, especially at KS4. There are also concerns at decreasing numbers of boys who continue with the subject after KS3. This course will bring together research and practice which shows how the gap between boys and girls can be closed.

You will see and share exemplar materials from schools which bridge the gap. The content of the curriculum, examination courses on offer, learning styles and personalised learning will be explored in depth, so that you can successfully review what you do and put into action methodology and curriculum content that will inspire both girls and boys.
