Participants will have the opportunity to gain insights into regarding boys and modern foreign languages from a national perspective and consider in what respects boys' approaches to learning differ from those of girls, and the impact this has on their attitudes to languages.
You will receive ideas on how to raise the profile of languages among boys in your school, how to incorporate games and competitions to make your lessons more appealing to boys, and how to use the new requirements of GCSE to ensure that boys are motivated and want to engage in learning. There will also be an opportunity to learn about strategies for managing boys' behaviour and ensuring that that their emotions work with us rather than against us as we promote their language learning.
