This course aims to develop understanding of attendance as a whole school/college issue, inseparable from positive behaviour and student achievement. Participants will look at how to develop a positive ethos to behaviour and attendance in their school that includes all staff.

Attendance as a classroom/subject issue will be explored and participants will gain knowledge of practical strategies to promote positive behaviour and good attendance that involve students and parents. Delegates will also have the opportunity to look at their own school or college's practice and will leave with a completed action plan based on the day’s learning.
