With much of the government's focus on assessment  being on teacher based assessment, there exists a  real opportunity for the teaching of pupils of English  to embody all of the theory of AfL through APP  processes. This course will look at how real  personalisation can be developed by the  communication of APP data to students and teachers  alike - and of next steps in meaningful learning  discussions. 
  
  This course will give both teachers and TA's  guidance on how to develop a system of teaching  and assessment that really does allow the student to  lead through an individualised process of  assessment that truly puts them at the heart of the  process. Practical guidance and examples will be  provided throughout the course which will allow  teachers and TAs working within the English  department to produce a programme of APP that  will suit the needs of their department and school.
