This course is designed to support teachers in their  assessment of pupils' progress throughout Key Stage 3  in MFL, and to help them make reliable judgements  against national standards. In the summer of 2010,  QCDA published exemplification materials to provide  guidance for teachers in making judgements about  pupils' achievement in French, German and Spanish.
  The course will give participants the opportunity to  develop their understanding of good assessment  practice and to look at the guidance in the context of  the level descriptions. It will also provide an opportunity  to share strategies for the management of assessment  and how assessment can involve pupils and guide their  next steps through assessment for learning strategies.
